The article presents an exemplary use of various multiple regression analy-sis models for the purposes of land market research as well as evaluates the degree to which they match the actual market situation, based on an analysis of regression residuals. The research of linear, logarithmic and exponential regres-sion analysis models allowed the study of the effects of assumed variables on the price of the property earmarked for building in one of the village of Little Poland. Obtained results indicate that linear multiple regression analysis model proved to be most optimal because of its interpretation and calculation.

The article is the analysis and attempt at an assessment of relief impact on the land use. The investigations focus particularly on the analysis of percentage share of agricultural land in Nowy Targ district computed for selected land slope intervals. Land use, conditioned by human activity is strictly dependent on historical conditions, physiographic location and climate, as well as on the land form. The relief has a significant impact on the quality of agricultural production area. Indirectly it also influences the other components of the environment, i.e. soils, water and climatic conditions. Directly it impacts the organisation of agricultural production influencing the difficulty of soil tillage and intensity of soil erosion. Agricultural land adjustment to the type of relief diminishes the erosion hazard and improves agrotechnological assessment of the soil tillage difficulty. The investigations were conducted on an example of Nowy Targ rural district. The district has diversified land relief resulting among others from its localisation close to the foothills. The analysis bases on the image of land use obtained from Corine Land Cover 2006. EU aid funds enabled the municipalities to the realization of costly infrastructure investments to raise the standard of living, and hence their competitiveness. Implemented investments affect the socio-economic development, which is particularly evident in case of rural communities. It follows that EU assistance funds are an instrument of development policy, both in the regional and local levels. They will lead to a widening of the investment potential of the development of municipalities. Municipalities with different activity and effectiveness reach for the EU funds. Hence the purpose of this article is to attempt to find a relationship between the amount collected financial support for infrastructure investment and the level of socio-economic development of municipalities. The study included five rural municipalities located in three regions of Polish statistics (NUTS 1) - the northern, north-western and eastern. Land consolidation projects are perfect tools for rural development. Land consolidation can be described as planned readjustment of land ownership patterns with the aim of creating larger and more rational land holdings. Other goals of land consolidation include infrastructural improvements and the implementation of developmental and environmental policies. Such activities have been implemented all over the world for many years. Owing to those experiences, we contribute to development of rural areas in an increasingly efficient way. Definition of innovation as well as features of the consolidation procedure and their individual character permit calling consolidation an agricultural innovation. Consolidation of agricultural land should be realized in the areas which have flaws in surface structure but which are willing to carry out the activity in their areas. The fact that the procedure of consolidation of agricultural land in Poland (financed from the European Union funds and the Budget) is free of charge should be encouraging. Is it possible to explain the spatial distribution of implemented consolidations? The study area covered Poland in general analyses, particularly the Lubelskie voivodship. The research employed the following methods: analysis and synthesis of the literature, field inventory, and research from the group of spatial-statistical approaches ...
