Summary:

Article presents an analysis of the municipalities in Poland in terms of planning studies performed: study of conditions and directions of spatial man-agement and local development plan. It also studied the costs of preparation or revision of planning documents in different provinces of Poland. The paper analyze the general characteristics of issued positive decisions concerning the location of public purpose investment, also issued decisions of zoning and land development. Study covered the period 2004-2010 based on data of Central Statistical Office derived from questionnaires "Local planning in municipalities".
