There is 734 agrotouristic farms within podlaskie province area with a strong competition. All of them try to attract the potential customer with the good offer. The more competitionable offer is determined by selection of internal and external factors. One of the method is to create agrotouristic clusters, that can be a method to solve the agrotouristic farms problem. The movement to create okopski's cluster limits low level of conciousness, prudence and distrust of few farm owners. They watch and wait until leaders will gain success. These aspects are related to social capability that consists of trust to other people, organizations and instititions, ability to make conversation, co-operation with other people, mutual problem solving and determination of their future existance in village. Cluster's initiative within the level of agrotourism, as one of the factors to rise the competition can offer welthier and more competitionable agrotouristic offer, comparing to single farm. With the respect to this situation more capital expenditure is needed to upgrade accomodation, transportation, gastronomy, in-formation and sport - recreational base in the village. Some of these funds can be taken from European Union. ...

A comparative analysis, using the classification tree method, of typically agritourism and agriculturally inactive farms has been conducted in this paper. An interview questionnaire, carried out on 78 farms, has been applied as a research tool.According to the research, typically agritourism farms evaluated the quality of their own services more positively. However, these factors did not influence the improvement of offer standards. Perhaps they had to invest more often in the development of farms rather than focus on improving the sanitary and hygiene infrastructure. The residential buildings may have not been adapted to undergo redevelopment in that respect.Agriculturally inactive households rarely broadened their knowledge in order to improve accommodation conditions. They had higher standards regardless of the level of hosts' qualifications. Presumably, hosts who focus mainly on agritourism are more likely to improve accommodation conditions. They basically do not have to pay expenses that would be incurred by agricultural activity. The application of the classification tree method has allowed to observe that high self-evaluation of services provided does not always have to result in better sanitary equipment of rooms or possession of living rooms. The method has made it possible to present the examined factors in a simple graphical manner, thus ...
The degree of future development of agritourism will be strongly influenced by fashion trends that are dictated by the contemporary market. Changing lifestyles of the society, which manifest themselves in the pursuit of buying greener products and seeking unconventional ways of spending free time will further develop this service. Continuous improvement of service offers and introduction of more interesting forms of recreation that guarantee higher quality of services should become key goals for individuals involved in agritourism. The potential of agritourism is slowly being recognized, although in comparison to other forms of accommodation, still a rather small number of Polish tourists choose it. There is therefore a necessity to develop a marketing plan to make agritourism services more distinguishable on the local and foreign tourism markets. In order for rural areas to develop and to provide rural communities with additional sources of income, it undoubtedly seems necessary to differentiate between rural tourism and agritourism.

The study revealed that between 2005 and 2013, more and more families began to receive visitors in their farms and sought an additional source of income in non-agricultural activities. And although within the eight-year time period there has not been a large increase in the number of agritourist farms (61), it is necessary to monitor changes in this area. It is especially important, because the largest increase was recorded in the areas of lower natural environment values (85), and a decrease in areas with high natural potential (24). Currently there are 350 agritourist farms in the rural area of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian province but their offer is really varied. Among the most frequently offered services were: a barbecue (97.7%) and a playground for children (67.7%). Possibility of putting up a tent (79.4%) or coming with animals (68.3%) were pointed out as often as a possibility to hire bicycles (60.8%). Services that require a huge financial commitment (swimming pool, sauna, gym, tennis court) have been reported to a much lesser extent. 57.4% of the examined rural households offer home made meals. A similar percentage (56.3%) sell food products produced in their farms. Only a few farms (38.8%) collaborate with institutions working for ...
The study revealed that the average price for stay on an agritourism farm on Kuyavian-Pomeranian village is not excessive and amounts to 46,84 zł for 24 hours. Highest costs per stay tourists bear in the district Sępólno (75.35 zł), and the lowest in the district Grudziadz. Due to the fact that the hosts served a large span of price ranges (from a dozen to a few hundred złotych) it has been calculated that the average maximum price is formed in the region at the level of 60.81 zł, and the average minimum price in the range 31,45 zł. Only 25.4% of all households have communicated what parts of the agritourism product (except overnight) are within the maximum price, namely the full board of attractions, attractions themselves, or just eating. It can be said that the majority of providers do not show their creativity and initiative in better presentation of their agritourism product on the web portal. They usually limited information to putting basic information about the service, without showing tourists detailed pricing for the use of various additional services. ...
Studies conducted among 1417 rural tourist accommodation facilities in Poland have shown that 966 of them have names for their service. Created names most often correspond to the profile of the business. A total of 130 objects specifically suggested that their product is the agritourism, using less sophisticated terms: agritourism, agritourism farm, gite, or expanding it by an additional element, usually referring to the owner's name or surname, plants (clover) or the location of the facility (e.g. in a valley or on a peninsula). There were also names of rural tourism facilities which suggested surroundings of the homestead ("Kraina trzech stawów") or accentuated its regional affiliation ("Czar Roztocza"). Owners often used their names to promote the tourism product for example: "U Basi", U Zochy", "U Kazika" or "U Kowalskich". They were not innovative, as in the case of the names created of parts of owners' names or surnames for example: "Czester". 451 services on the web portal did not have any names, which may cause that their offer will not remain for long in the minds of the potential customers, or will not be noticed at all. It must be emphasized that giving proper, attractive and easy to ...

The level of interest in such energy media among farmers who do not use them was assessed. The attitude of agritourist service providers toward more effective utilization of natural resources to the advantage of the natural environment was determined ...
Rural areas in Poland, owing to their natural character and varied landscape, offer inhabitants increasingly better conditions for undertaking non-agricultural business activity. Among the most popular ones are tourism services. The development of rural tourism brings many benefits to farm owners and tourists alike. One of the most important ones is the possibility of obtaining additional income from offering lodgings for rent, and from selling agricultural products and handcrafted articles. In addition, motivation for conducting business activity in rural areas includes the need for self-fulfilment, sharing the passion, interacting with people, and establishing social relations. The rate of tourism development in rural areas is largely determined by marketing activities including the promotion of services. Rural tourism implemented in a competitive environment should take into account such activities that will allow tourism facilities to attract a satisfactory number of customers. Many a rural tourism facility owner seeks for a way to distinguish their offer from many others and to reach out to a wider group of customers. To this end, the potential of websites is most frequently made use of. Many of them, however, are of poor quality, which makes them fail to serve their function. This can be prevented through the ...
