In paper a groundwater quality on sewerage and non-sewerage areas in chosen community was presented. Ten control points were localised in nonseweraged villages and two in seweraged one. Analyses were carried on in summer 2007. The colour, turbidity, reaction, conductivity, nitrite nitrogen, nitrate nitrogen, ammonia nitrogen, manganese, iron and amount of bacteria coli were analysed in each sample. Obtained results were put through statistical analyses in which an essential differences of groundwater pollution index values to be tested between seweraged and non-seweraged areas. ...
In paper a groundwater quality near to municipality landfill was charac-terised. Groundwater analyses were carried on for 4 years in 3-4 months periods. Observation points around the municipal landfill site were localised in different distance to obtain different water flow times, i.e. since 30 to 800 m from landfill's border. Obtained results were put through statistical analyses in which the groundwater quality differentiation in different seasons as well as quality in sam-pling points from piezometers localised on groundwater inflow and outflow were assessed. Investigations carried out have enabled to evaluation of water quality changes in the vicinity of analysed landfill. ...
It the paper a changes of municipal wastes quantity in podlaskie province during seven years (2000-2006) was presented. Changeability of waste quantity in each district of province as well as in three cities on rights of administrative district was analysed. As investigative tool was used the Statistica packet. It allows an evaluation of variability of waste quantity in time, assessment of value of waste accumulation indicators, analysis of dynamics of waste quantity changes as well as analysis of character of waste seasonal changeability. The obtained results showed on differentiation in dynamics of changes of waste quantity for individual administrative districts of analysed province. Changeability of quantity the produced wastes is connected not only with population largeness or its migration but it can be also dependent on another factors, i.e.: economic development, intensity of actions undertaking by self-governments in field of waste management, pro-ecological attitudes of inhabitants. Moreover, the significance of seasonal fluctuation of waste quantity for chief town of podlaskie province was examined. It was observed, that the largest quantities of wastes are deposited in autumn season. The periodical growth of waste quantity is also visible for spring season, which is also typical in analyses conducted for area of whole country. The ...
The paper attempts to assess the effect of standard living on municipal waste generation in Podlasie Province. Changes of waste quantity were analysed in all province's districts in eight-year period. Eight parameters (variables), which characterise standard living and which may differentiate waste generation in each region, were taken for analyse. Two variables connected with waste generation (waste quantity and waste generation index) were also taken into consideration. As an investigation tool was used the Statistica packet. It allows to determine direction and strength of interaction between selected variables as well as to describe the interdependences and structure of them. The obtained results have shown, that different variables influence in dif-ferent way on waste generation. As a results of this a regional diversity of waste has appeared. It was also observed reduction of correlation value between the average monthly salary and amount of generated waste. In the whole province it was observed a high correlation between the waste quantity and population using sewage-treatment plants as well as urbanisation level. It was assumed that such a correlations are appropriate for urban areas. Analyse of correlation coefficient in non-urban area has also indicated a positive correlation between waste generation index and number of unemployed ...
