Correction of the rural land arrangement which joins shares of farm located within complexes is connected with optimization model based on division complexes with elementary strips. The Aim of correction is joining of dispersed farm shares into compact land plots and, afterwards, creating numerical map with new land arrangement. Efficency of the correction was tested and confirmed with data set that represents Wojków village.Introducing of the correction allows for elimination of every farm shares which area is smaller than 1 ha and creating compact land plots in complexes. The result of computational process is a map of rural land arrangement with minimized distance between plots and farm dwellings.

The following study presents description of the preparatory process which is aimed at optimizing rural land structure in Wojków village, utilizing areal elements separated in case of subdivided parcels encompassed by consolidation. The purpose of the land management is such investment decisionmaking, to gradually implement the principle of sustainable development.Decisions concerning the locations of public investments have a majorimpact on the economic development of the region. They should be takenon the basis of previously developed and adopted strategy defined in a formalizedway. Decision-making problems can be solved with the use of theoptimization theory.In the first part of the work the interpretation of the optimizationconcept as an approach to solve the problem of location of objects of publicpurpose investments was carried out. Every anticipated effect can beexpressed by a functional relationship. Finding the values of decision variables,for which the function reaches a maximum or minimum in the setof feasible solutions is the optimal variant of the investment project. Soraised problems also apply to the tasks performed in land management.Proper location of the investments provides a sustainable management ofthe environment resources giving benefits for the economy and society.
