This article presented evaluation of execution of water protection in Polish Environmental Policy. Improvement of water quality and quantity was a effect of improve water management system, partnership in water protection on borderland, regulation of payment and fine mulct in water protection and management, development of small retention, arrangement of water and waste water manage-ment, amendment of water law, co-operation between water management, national economy and ecological education. Positive result of execution of water protection in Polish Environmental Policy, were notice. However, classification of the state of uniform river bodies, showed that most of Polish waters were included to category poor. That's why Poland should proceed activities in water protection.

The article introduces acts in force, legal acts, regulations and documents which regulate matters related to the protection of soils in Poland. The soils belong to one of the most endangered natural resources and they are a subject to systematic degradation and permanent transformation as a result of their exclusion from the natural use. Sustainable use of soils increases the level of their protection. The priority is to stop or weaken unfavorable trends and negative impacts on the soil environment. Soil resources of agricultural area in Poland are systematically decreasing and this also applies to lands in a good rural culture. According to an ecological policy, the proper use of soil and forest resources is one of the actions aimed at ensuring ecological security. Poland as a member of European Union is obligated to devise strategies taking into account the current condition of the soil environment and the degree of threat to various forms of erosion. The paper analyzes the determinants of agricultural production in the Kuyavia-Pomerania province against the background of the whole country. The article analyzed the results of air quality measurements in the city of Nowy Sącz and assessed the activities of the local government to reduce low-stack emission. Nowy Sącz is among the top European cities with the most polluted air. According to the annual mean PM10 particles levels within the Małopolska Province, Nowy Sącz belongs to the group of cities and poviats where the highest levels of this pollutant are recorded. In the case of PM2.5 particles, Nowy Sącz is the second city after Krakow in the Małopolska Province, where there is a significant exceedance, including the margin of tolerance, of the limit value of the pollutants. The backgroundand inflow of pollutants from outside the city reaches the level of about 17 μg·m-3, i.e. 85% of the limit value and 50% of the total level of the pollutant in the city. The local government undertakes investments aimed at improving air quality, inter alia: thermo-modernization of buildings, Renewable Energy Sources installation (solar installations) in buildings, elimination of coal boilers and replacing them with gas boilers or new generation boilers. ...
