In the article there was described the example of using ground radar inter-ferometry technique for landslide's monitoring. Monitored object is located in Milówka (Poland). Author described shortly the causes of landslide occurring and the geological elements of typical landslide. Reference was made to monitoring surveying techniques according to characterization of used technique. Ground ra-dar interferometry technique allows us to determine displacement of never before seen precision, in a real time and without the need to enter the monitored object. Possibilities of using ground radar interferometry has been tested by performing several measurement series in two days. For example, the displacement of measurements can be concluded that the use of ground radar interferometry allows to determine the displacement of a millimeter accuracy, while reducing the measurement time, limit the composition of the team qualified for the measurement of one person and get immediate occurring value of displacements. Acquisition and analysis of data in real time creates the potential for warning about the loss of soil stability, which is certainly important for the safety of residents and their homes were located in the landslide areas. ...
The article describes the parameters of probability distribution of ground vertical deformations based on data retrieved from surveying networks. The ex-periment was located in the mining areas of Bytom, Bieruń, Piekary Śląskie and Chełm, where geodetic rosettes were stabilized. On the basis of carried out sur-veys a standard deviation and variation was counted and factors influencing the probability distribution of vertical deformations were analyzed. The final results show, that the parameters of probability distribution in this case depend on: the values of vertical deformations measured in particular sessions, the methods of mining and the structure of surveying network. The characteristics of a variation parameter in most of the cases differ a lot from the theoretical values due to over-estimation of assumed vertical dislocations. ...
Landslides are one of the most common events that cause natural disasters. Therefore, performing geodetic monitoring of moving soil mass is necessary to ensure the safety of people and their property. During geodetic surveys connected with landslides monitoring it is very important to plan the moments of observations in a correct time periods. Choosing appropriate moments of observation series can give the observer proper view on progress of process kinematics with identification of development stages of process, which occur sequentially with various severity and frequency. Authors presented the rules of planning observation series during geodetic surveys of deformations according to literature. They focused mainly on formulas connected with ground deformations caused by underground exploitation and gave proposition of planning observations series on the example of landslide, taking into account factors influencing the intensification of soil mass movement, such as water saturation of soil, geological structure of the area or soil type and its properties. ...
Landslides in the geological aspect can be active for many years. There is a need to keep monitoring stability of slope, especially if there are some buildings located on the landslide. Such monitoring can be done with the use of geodetic methods. In the article there are presented possible geodetic techniques which are used in practice and new one, not used up to now- ground radar interferometer technique. This technique allows for spatial measurement without the points stabi-lization on the landslide and gives the information about displacements values of the chosen area of measured landslide. ...
The monitoring of the terrain subdued to landslide processes is necessary for the safety of the objects within that area. This article presents the description and the results of the measurement studies to optimise surveying technologies of the observations of ground deformations in the area subdued to landslide processes with the use of rosettes. The measurements were carried out with the use of three instruments (total stations: TCA 2003, TCR 303, TC 407) on the test field. Based on the carried out studies, the optimal way and instruments were selected for the potential use in the observations on the actual area subdued to the landslide processes. ...
