Creating parcels using the iteration method

The article touches upon a question about creating parcels for set value while using the iteration method. The author describes the possibility of achieving a final result, making the beforehand defined amount of iterations. For a majority of cases their amount doesn't surpass 17. It also refers to the universality of this method. A shape of a border that we are looking for and direction of planning aren't important in this method. It also can be used in orthogonal or angular planning.     ...

Implementation of algorithm of vector data correction

Digital maps created in the process of digitising of cartographic materials contain a lot of topological errors. The sources of these errors are: the qualities of the digitising method and the operator's mistakes. Digital maps which are not cor-rect in terms of topology cannot be used in the vector data processing systems. The special case of topological errors of digital maps is the disagreement of the course of plot boundaries and the functional grounds boundaries. The authors have cre-ated and implemented an algorithm which corrects such errors and which is based on the correction of the course of functional grounds boundaries in the area sur-rounding a given segment of the plot boundary. The program which uses the above algorithm is highly efficient. ...

The description of the problems which encountered during the process of cre-ating the software for LPIS tasks

LPIS (Land Parcel Identyfication System) is an informative system enabling the implementation of unequivocal, in the scale of the country, identyfication of agricultural lands, which is used among others to control conformity of the actual surface of crops with the declared one. During the process of consulting about the project of the computer program supporting the works connected with the execution of LPIS 86 and LPIS GIS tasks, a number of problems were encountered resulting from the character of the tasks as well as the amount of information to be processed.Specificity of works which were to be done made the contractors seek after computer solutions effectively assisting the accomplishment of all tasks. The analysis consisting in comparing the scope of works with the possibilities of the programs belonging to the companies and the programs available on the market proved that the fastest and the most efficient solution would be supplementing the programs with functions designed specially to the needs of LPIS. The technology recommended for the tasks execution along with specially developed computer program made it possible to complete the full range of the tasks and meet tight deadlines.     ...

Multidimensional cadastre, implementation possibilities in Poland

The article presents the method of switching from 2D cadastre to 3D + time systems using available IT tools, based on the existing official geospatial data registers. For more than twenty years in Poland, the official registers of information about land structures have been modernised. This modernisation includes the securing and protecting the rights to real properties, increasing the effectiveness of databases, increasing the data quality, as well as improving the effectiveness of land planning and management. Advanced CAD technologies enable the development of Digital Terrain Model (DTM) and, at a further stage, visualisation of surface objects, such as borders of land parcels or outlines of buildings, in 3D space. Modern relational databases and CAD tools also enable the reconstruction of the state of real property of any point of time. l   ...
