Summary:

The market of agricultural estates is the leading segment in the real estate market in the Krakow district in terms of activity. There are two groups of investors active in this segment. The former group are the investors purchasing lands in order to run agricultural activity thereon. The latter group involves investors who see opportunities of locating capital in relatively cheap agricultural lands. Various objectives of the investors often cause considerable differences in prices which cannot be explained. Therefore, when analyzing the market of land estates of this nature the transactions related to the purchase of lands for purposes not related to
agricultural activity must be singled out. This article presents an analysis of agricultural lands purchased by the former group of investors, lands intended for field cultivation with the total ban on construction and used in this way.
