Summary:

Interest in orthophotomap and Digital Terrain Model, not only in Poland
but also in many European Union countries, results from works associated with
establishing a uniform Geographic Information System. Availability of orthophotomap
- its presence in internet geoportals - causes that it is used for many purposes. The paper presents possibility of using orthophotomap and DTM to evaluate
changes in the way of agricultural land use, for example, the surroundings of
water reservoir Domaniów. Orthophotomaps made at various periods of time,
based on aerial photographs of 1:26000 scale (panchromatic and color) were used
for this purpose. Application of various computer techniques allowed the visualization
of the DTM and graphical representation of changes occurring at the presented
site.
