Summary:

This paper presents issues related to the differences in naming of elements of the utility network used by the various utility industries supplying newly built single family houses. The industry definitions of utilities originating from various legal acts will be presented as opposed to the naming conventions prevailing in the utility industry practice. The article discussed the variety of naming conven-tions based on an example of a newly-built estate of single family houses, as
a problem commonly found in practice.
